Dojo Etiquette
Whilst in the dojo students should follow the instructions of the Sensei and act at all times according to dojo etiquette. This can be found in the student's license book and includes :
- Bowing whenever entering or leaving the dojo
- Referring to your instructor as 'Sensei'
- Acknowledging instructions given to you by a senior with the term 'Oss'
Dojo Code
At the end of a training session the class will recite the dojo code. This is usually led by the most senior grade at the session but ALL students should aim to learn it. Remember, YOU will be a senior grade one day.
- Seek perfection of character
- Be faithful
- Endevour
- Respect Others
- Refrain from Violent behaviour
